Thefts around Mayo

The office of the Western Regional Fisheries Board in Ballyhip, Louisburgh, was entered some time between May 17 at 6pm and May 18 at 9am. A boat engine was stolen.

A car was broken into on D’alton Street, Claremorris, on Tuesday May 18 at around 1pm. A small amount of cash and a mobile phone was stolen.

In the Garryduff area of Castlebar a house was broken into on Wednesday afternoon, where a flat screen TV was taken.

Drink driving arrests

Since the beginning of the week there have been eight drink driving arrests in the county. Two were arrested in the Westport area, two in the Claremorris area, two in the Castlebar area, and two in the Swinford area.
