Workshop. Full day drawing course. Adults.

Join local artist Deirdre Keetley for a day of exploring the museum collection through the medium of pencil drawing in conjunction with National Gallery of Ireland Drawing Day and the Bealtaine Festival. Booking deposit required.

Friday May 14 2.30pm – 3.30pm.

Talk. Famine Memorial Day: Religion and the Great Famine. Adults and children aged seven years and up.

Professor Peter Gray will look at the role played by religion and the religious during the Great Famine, and the impact the catastrophe had on religion in Ireland. Join in a discussion on the ways in which the Famine may have left a long-term legacy for the religious life of the country. Booking required.

Friday May 21 11.00am – 1pm.

Demonstration. Drop-in event: The Knitting Circle. Adults and children aged seven years and up.

Exchange patterns, learn new techniques, bring along your knitting and join in on the third Friday of every month. No booking required.
