Man who allegedly held up head shops has case adjourned to June

A Castlebar man who allegedly held up two head shops in Castlebar with a knife had his case adjourned to Castlebar District Court on June 7, with strict bail conditions, in Ballyhaunis District Court this week.

Adrian Ring, 48A Garryduff Drive, Castlebar, was arrested by Garda Tom Flemming at 10.38pm on Monday, May 3 at The Mall, Castlebar. The court was told that he used a knife to try to rob two head shops in the town earlier that evening, although there was only one charge in relation to an incident at the Cosmic Closet on Charles Street in the town, there was a possibility of further charges being brought in Castlebar on June 7.

As part of Ring’s bail conditions he must reside with a uncle outside of Castlebar and sign on three times a week in Swinford Garda station.
