Bye-laws for Murrisk car park were proposed and seconded at the Westport electoral area planning meeting this week, with pay and display to come into effect in the summer months.
Senior executive officer Martin Keating said that the proposed bye-laws for the Murrisk car park were put on public display from March 16 to April 19 and only one submission was received — from the Murrisk Development Association.
Alongside pay and display long-stay parking permits will also be made available and the car park will be policed by a traffic warden.
