Aisling McDonnell from Mayo has been named as one of the four finalists in the Gillette Venus, Spa Breeze, Dress of Your Dreams competition. Aisling along with other student fashion designers from art colleges around the country was asked by Gillette to showcase her talent, to celebrate the launch of the Gillette Venus Spa Breeze razor.
The theme of the competition this year is Tickled Pink, incorporating the spa inspired blush pink colour scheme and reflecting the flexible shave gel bars that flex and respond to fit intricate curves showing off the beauty of a woman’s legs. The brief from Gillette to art students around the country was to create the ultimate movie-premiere dress.
Aisling McDonnell is a first year fashion design student in Limerick College of Art and Design and has always been interested in art and fashion. The overall winner will be being chosen by May 14.
