Mount St Michael, Claremorris claimed their first ever national ladies football title in Pearse Park Longford on Saturday afternoon. The Claremorris girls ran out seven point winners over the Ulster champions. A great first half saw Mount St Michael leading by 1-11 to 0-3 at the turn around, which was enough to see them through a strong second half come back by the St Patrick’s girls in the second period to record a historic victory for the school.
