TG4 is searching for two Gaeilgeoirs — one male and one female, looking for love for a new Irish language dating programme.
The chosen two will embark upon a national search to find true love as they seek out and sample people and the places they hail from in a quest to find the person worthy of the title Mo Ghrá Gael.
The two individuals in question will essentially be fronting the show (in an almost presenter-like capacity ) and need to be lively, enthusiastic, outgoing, and most importantly, sincerely looking for romance. Via an online system that will see potential dates submit profiles of themselves, the two main daters will choose who it is that they want to date in a given locale, then proceed to do something interesting and adventurous with them in that place over the course of a day and night.
For purposes of filming the pilot, this would take place over the course of two days in early May. The series will then be filmed over the course of the summer months and would require the two contributors to be available for the six episode run. Applicants for the programme can expect to be interviewed and screen tested in Dublin in mid-April.
