Glynns Homevalue — your one stop shop for renewable energy

These days we are all more aware of the need to minimise the environmental impact of our lifestyles, and one of the first places to start is to reconsider the energy we use for heating our homes and water. Using renewable energy is also not just a way of saving the planet, but by improved energy efficiency and reduction in the use of costly fossil fuels it can reduce household bills by 50 to 70 per cent. How much can be saved is dependent on the building in question and its situation. The knowledgeable and friendly staff at Glynn’s Homevalue can advise on what form of renewable energy would best suit you.

In 2008 Glynn’s opened Ireland’s first dedicated energy centre. It was officially opened by celebrity architect Duncan Stewart of RTE's EcoWise and About the House. Mr Stewart, together with Energymaster, had been working with Homevalue for the previous two years on the concept and product offering.

The Energy Centre is designed to be a one stop shop focused on all the renewable energy products available and an information and distribution centre for insulation. The centre boasts the complete range of renewable energy products including both wood pellet stoves and boilers, solar tubes and panels, air to water heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, and wind turbines. All the insulation products are on display with comparisons on Lamba and R values so that you can critically evaluate one product over the other.

The centre has a section specific to gas and condensing oil boilers and energy efficient solo radiators. Glynn’s also stocks the Itho heat recovery system, which is the most efficient unit on the market at present. The store also has a beautiful display on airtightness and stock the complete range of airtight product from Eco Logical building solutions and Siga.
