Leona McDonnell (26 ), from Garyduff in Castlebar, is delighted to announce the opening of Halo Hair Design, 2 Chapel Street, Castlebar. The salon opened to the public last Friday and Leona is looking forward to building her clientele from old contacts and new acquaintances.
Leona is the daughter of local builder Stephen McDonnell and has an excellent reputation in hairdressing circles locally.
This gifted stylist has nine years’ hairdressing experience. She trained in the Connacht College of Hairdressing, Galway, where she achieved a City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 qualification. She went on to work in a number of salons in Castlebar, including Sandy’s Hair Salon where she worked as a senior stylist for two and a half years.
Leona also spent time working as a hairdresser in Australia in both Sydney and Brisbane where she gained thorough experience in barbering.
In her new salon, Leona will be using Paul Mitchell products and Schwarzkopf colour.
To celebrate the opening, Halo Hair Design is offering some special offers for the months of April, May, and June including 20 per cent off all colouring services from Tuesday to Thursday, a €10 wash and blow dry on Tuesday and Wednesday, a €20 wash, cut and blow dry on Tuesday only, and student discounts are also available from Tuesday to Thursday.
