The Museum of Country Life, Turlough Park, will be open this Easter Sunday following the lifting of a ban on overtime by members of the Civil, Public, and Services Union.
Action by CPSU members had led to the museum being closed for the last few Sundays and on St Patrick’s Day.
Welcoming the development, the museum’s manager keeper, Tony Candon, said: “This is very good news indeed. It means the museum is now fully open to the public again. It is particularly good news on this Easter weekend when many, many people will want to visit the museum – especially to see the Cross of Cong, which has just gone on display.”
