The Irish Heart Foundation is urging people to get their hearts pumping by taking part in a World Heart Day walk on October 5. Seven walks have been listed for Mayo.
Ballinrobe: meet at Neale Community Hall at 3pm for a 4km heritage loop; Belmullet: meet at the top of Shraigh East Road at 2pm for a three hour walk which will take in Claggan Island; Ceathrú Thaidhg: meet at the Seanscoil at 3pm for a walk along the Slí na Sláinte route; Newtown Clogher: meet at 2.30pm, location not yet decided (for more details contact Heather Kelly on 094 903 0006 ); Louisburgh: meet at the square at 1pm for a walk from Louisburgh to Killeen Community Centre; Toureen: meet at Toureen Hall at 3pm and Ballina: meet outside old UDC offices at Tone Street at 11.30am, for a walk along the Slí na Sláinte route.
