Three Westport restaurants and one Ballina gastro pub have been honoured at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2010.
In the Connacht Regional Irish Restaurant of the Year Awards Knockranny House Hotel, Westport claimed two awards: Seamus Commons, for best chef, and best hotel restaurant award in Mayo.
Sol Rio restaurant in Westport also picked up two awards: best casual dining in Mayo and best customer service in Mayo. The Port Mór restaurant in Westport was awarded with the best restaurant in Mayo prize.
Ballina pub Paddy Jordan’s was awarded the best gastro pub in Mayo award.
The awards were sponsored by Santa Rita/Sunday Independent Life magazine and the county winners will now compete for the regional and All-Ireland titles which will be announced in June.
