A vicious brawl that broke out in Castlebar on Tuesday morning has resulted in one man being charged in relation to the incident according to gardaí, he is due to appear in court in Castlebar on April 7 to face the charges.
The incident happened at around 10.30am on Linenhall Street in the town and involved a man and three women close to the junction of the street with Bridge Street (Main Street ) in the town. One man was arrested at the scene and charged in relation to the incident on Wednesday, and one woman was taken to hospital. Reports suggest that hurls and a metal object were used in the brawl, in which a number of vehicles were damaged.
