On Wednesday March 24 the elaborate Fáilte Suite at the Welcome Inn Hotel, Castlebar, will play host to a selection of sharp tailoring and on-trend looks at The Look Fashion Show.
The event, which is organised by Network Mayo in aid of the Down Syndrome Society Mayo Region, will feature exciting new trends as the latest spring/summer collections hit the stores and will outline the key themes and subtle changes that will propel fashion forward. Fabric and fabric manipulation are important features throughout all the trends, and designers have used pleating, folding, and drape to great effect. Prints are alive with colour and are influenced by animal and tribal patterns. Florals are reworked and updated and it becomes apparent that styles can have just as much impact loaded with decoration as styles that are totally devoid of it. Proportion, length, and styling have a fresh, new, approach and colour works effectively adding vibrancy and vitality, alternatively it fades to neutral when emphasising contemporary tailoring.
Boutiques featuring on the night are members of Network Mayo: Boutique Collette, Westport; Beverly Hills, Castlebar; ATIR; Yasmine G, Castlebar; Rosewater, Castlebar; Gossamer Girl.com, Claremorris. A fabulous range of stylish glasses from Eyeworld in Westport will be on show as will accessories from Victoria Foutz. Hair on the night will be by the Zalon and make-up will be provided by Glo Beauty Clinic and Suay.
