Mother and son injured in collision
A woman in her sixties and son in his thirties were injured on Monday afternoon when the car in which they were travelling was in a collision with a lorry near Foxford.
The woman was brought to Mayo General Hospital while the son has been transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
The lorry driver was arrested and brought to Ballina Garda station where he was later released without charge.
Drink driving arrests
There have been two drink driving arrests this week: one in the Castlebar area and the other in the Swinford area.
