Couture in hair fashions at The Hut

Located at 18 Market Street, Galway, The Hut is celebrating its 21st birthday.

Having originally trained with Vidal Sassoon, London, Trevor Crowley began his career at an A-list standard and has continued ever since making his edgy and innovative hair designs available to everyone.

“During times of recession, hairdressers need to find inner creativity, unlock their egos and make their mark,” explains Crowley.

In recent years The Hut was transformed with a modern artistic finish creating an atmosphere of luxury and style, which boasts three spacious floors with 17 cutting and colouring areas.

“The Hut has a number of strings to its creative bow,” claims Crowley, who earned his nickname “The Milliner” for his hat-like creative designs in hair. “We regularly work on fashion shows, most recently, our team, including Tom Walsh has used his creations for a photo shoot which will appear in an upcoming issue of Vogue, alongside our renowned stylist Aisling Wallace Byrne, who operates a swap-shop on the top floor of the saloon, which provides all of the latest trends and styles.”

The Hut celebrated its 21 years of success with a fashion show alongside city store Zebra, in aid of suicide charity Console this week. The Hut also housed an art exhibition by artist Ronan Walsh.
