Curves Castlebar is taking part in the 12th annual international Curves Food Drive which aims to help those in the local community who are in need of some extra assistance.
This great community initiative is open to everybody who wants to contribute. If you participate in the Curve's Food Drive you can avail of the special offer advertised by donating a bag of groceries worth €30 consisting of non perishable food items.
The Curves Food Drive is the organisation’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All food collected is distributed to the St Vincent de Paul and the Women’s Shelter locally. In 2009 Curves across Ireland collected more than €36,000, which consisted of 1,200 full grocery bags of food. Curves International members collected £7.4 million worth of food donations.
