The first leg of the Deely Opticians Castlebar Town Cup took place during the week with a number of tight ties still down for decision. In the division one semi-finals The Harp beat Hogs 6-3 with the return leg to take place in Harp on Tuesday night. In the other semi-final Rockey’s will take a 6-3 lead and home advantage into their second leg in the best of 18 tie.
In division two The Harp leads Coxes 6-3 with the second leg to come in Coxes, while it’s all very tight in the second last four clash, Rays lead Stacks 5-4 with the second leg in the Castle Street pub. In division three Sloyan’s will be hoping to make home advantage count as they try to turn over a 6-3 deficit against The Cobweb, while The Bungalow lead 5-4 against McCarthy’s with the second leg in McCarthy’s.
