The Deely opticians league has reached the quarter final stage in divisions one, two, and three. The first legs were played on Tuesday February 16 with the second leg last Tuesday night. In division one the Harp A saw off the Shamrock A on a score of 6-3, with Hogs A just holding off The Punch Bowl A by a score of 5-4. Bosh had a comfortable 8-1 win over Stack’s while Rocky’s had double scores over Flynn’s A to win 6-3.
In division two Coxe’s saw off McCarthy’s A on a score of 6-3, while Ray’s had a tough battle before seeing off the Golf Club by 5-4, Stack’s A had a comfortable 7-2 win over the Castle Inn, while the Harp B took out Tolsters on a score of 6-3.
In division three Flynn’s B went down to the Bungalow A 5-4, with the Bungalow B making it a double for the Main Street pub seeing off the Cobweb also 5-4. Sloyans beat the Shamrock B 5-4 while McCarthy’s B held off Hogs B to win out 6-3. There is still all to play for in the next round of the competition which will be coming up very soon.
