At the Museum of County Life in Turlough next month children can get crafty with tradition.
On March 6, 13, 20 and 27 children aged eight to 13 are asked to spark your imagination, light up your mind, work with your hands to create a little piece of Irish culture with ceramics, rush, straw and wool over four Saturdays of craft activities from 10am to 12pm.
On Saturday March 6 from 2pm to 4pm a workshop and demonstration of knitting techniques to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ICA and International Women’s Day will be held.
A talk on spring gardening for adults will take place on Thursday March 11 from 10am to 4.45pm, and on Saturday March 14 from 2.30pm to 3.30pm join Gearóidín Breathnach, Donegal storyteller, to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge through stories in both Irish and English.
