A man whose car was observed by a garda to be crashed against a wall was this week disqualified from driving.
On September 1 2008, Garda Conor Doyle was on patrol in Parke, Castlebar when he observed a car which appeared to be crashed against a wall.
Enda Murphy, Oughterard, Ross West, Parke, Castlebar stepped out of the car and was arrested on the suspicion of drink driving. A subsequent blood sample showed 203mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
The unemployed plasterer, who is a father of one, and has no previous convictions, was convicted and fined €600 and disqualified from driving for three years.
