Search begins for Mayo Rose

Entry is now open for the 2010 Mayo Rose, giving women from all over the county the chance to be crowned the 2010 Rose of Tralee.

Local businesses, sports organisations, professional groupings, and individuals are invited to take part in what promises to be a memorable selection event.

Along with the potential of becoming the 2010 Mayo Rose prizes include Newbridge Silverware jewellery, Carlton Hotel gift cards, and the chance to go forward and become the 2010 Rose of Tralee where there is a €25,000 world prize, car for a year, a complete collection of Newbridge Silverware home ware and jewellery products, plus more.

Mayo has an excellent reputation in the competition with Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain and Luzveminda O’Sullivan both winning the coveted crowned as well as Belfast Rose Marita Staunton who has since made Mayo her home.

Donnacha Roche, Mayo Rose Centre said: “I would encourage anyone interested in entering the Mayo county rose selection to get in touch as it is such a unique opportunity to represent your local community and county. I would urge any young woman who would love to get involved in a unique experience and to be an ambassador for her peers to apply,” he said.
