Local communities across the county will have the final say in selecting the children's projects to receive funding from the AIB Better Ireland Programme 2009 /2010 as voting commenced this week.
The short listed children’s community groups in Mayo are as follows: AIB Ballina: Club Vario Youth Project, Moy Valley Branch of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland, Ardagh/Crossmolina Boxing Club and Youth Facility; AIB Ballinrobe: Roundfort Kreative Kidz, Naíonra Thuar Mhic Eadaigh, Robeen Community Playschool Ltd; AIB Castlebar: Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland – Mayo Branch, Mayo Children’s Initiative, Western Care Association Autism Team; AIB Claremorris: Glor na nOg Childcare Centre, Barnacarroll Youth Development Committee, Mayo Autism Action; AIB Swinford: Foxford Childcare Group Ltd, Carracastle Community Childcare Co Ltd, Autism Classroom – Swinford National School; AIB Westport: The Cove Youth Café, Achill No Name Club, Westport Youth Activity Club.
In each branch first place with the highest votes will receive €5,000, second place €3,000, and third place €2,000.
