National League basketball action resumes this weekend in Ballina when the home side, Loftus Recycling, host CHM Ballon in Ballina Sports and Leisure Centre with tip-off at 7.30pm. Ballon, who are based in Co Carlow, are comprised mainly of overseas players now resident in Ireland and can be expected to provide very stiff opposition for the home side who will be anxious to maintain their unbeaten home record and qualify for the play-off stages of the league. After this weekend, Ballina will have just one more home game (against new senior cup champions, Castleisland on March 7 ) with three further away matches to be played in the meantime.
