Amateur astronomers are set to flock to the west of Ireland next week for the annual Galway Astronomy Festival taking place at the Westwood House Hotel.
Organised by Galway Astronomy Club the festival kicks off on February 12 with a pair of free evening lectures and a public observing evening under the dark skies of Brigit’s Garden in Roscahill (weather permitting ) starting at 9.30pm. On Saturday February 13 the festival continues with a full day of lectures with experts.
