They say charity begins at home so in terms of local charities Mayo Cancer Support is a shining light of hope and support for people with cancer and their family and friends.
It is always good to know that when you give to a charity your donation will be used to help people in your local community and this is where Mayo Cancer Support excels. The facilities in Rock Rose House, Castlebar, are provided by a team of dedicated volunteers offering emotional support and practical help. All services are offered free of charge, therefore the charity is totally reliant on the support and generosity of the local community and its hardworking fundraisers throughout the county and beyond.
To that end Mayo Cancer Support will be having a church gate collection in the Swinford and Charlestown areas on Saturday February 6 and Sunday 7. So try to give as generously as possible and support your local Mayo charity. Your support is greatly appreciated by all involved.
