The Mayo Ladies’ county board wasted no time in appointing a new person to the post of manager of the senior team for 2010. Kevin Reidy who took charge of the side in 2009, stepped down from his position just over a week ago, and at a special meeting of the county board last Thursday night, (January 28 ) Pat Costello was appointed as manager of the senior team for the coming year. Costello, who was previously a manager of the Galway ladies’ senior team, was manager of the Mayo ladies’ u14 team and he will now have just over a week to get his side ready for their opening game in the 2010 national football league where they travel to Laois on Sunday with a throw in at 2pm.
