Honda looks to 2010 with confidence

Judges Car Sales is confident that its Honda range, which offers a new and exciting line-up of cars going into 2010, will deliver increased sales. Recent awards for Honda, including ones for the most reliable cars, the most reliable brand, and the safest range of cars, will also help sales in 2010. Honda Jazz has recently won the Continental Irish Car of the Year 2010, and Honda Accord was runner-up to Mercedes E-Class in the Irish Continental Luxury Car of the Year 2010. The introduction of two new hybrid cars and the welcome return of Civic type S three-door version all add up to what makes it a very promising year for the Honda brand.

Hybrid range to be increased

The mystery and hype surrounding hybrid vehicles is fading as car drivers are now more conscious of the impact of lower CO2 emissions on both the environment and their pockets. Civic IMA owners already benefit from the lowest annual road tax of €104 and a VRT refund of €2,500.

Honda is increasing its hybrid range with the launch of Insight in January – a five-door hatchback that achieves exceptional fuel economy. Its practical and spacious interior can accommodate five people and it has a flexible and class-leading load space of 408 litres.

Honda Insight will be closely followed by another hybrid, the all-new sporty Honda CR-Z to be launched early summer 2010.

Other new introductions

Honda Accord, with its sporty styling in saloon and tourer options, is available in both petrol and diesel Euro five emissions-compliant engines. New to the range is an Accord diesel automatic transmission option. The Accord was voted the most reliable car in Britain in a recent survey by Which magazine.

Honda welcomes the return, after a long absence, of Civic type S three-door petrol model to add to its existing Civic range of four and five-door models, available in both petrol and diesel, and the four-door hybrid. Civic scored seventh place in the Which survey.

Jazz, voted the second most reliable car in the Which survey, is a unique driving experience. It offers greater interior space than its predecessor, better functionality and more powerful, more frugal, engines, in a stylish contemporary design. Its ‘magic rear seats’ with a one-motion, dive-down, operation turns Jazz into the most versatile car on the market for carrying awkward loads. The Jazz comes with an option of 1.2 and 1.4 engines, a five-speed manual, or six-speed, i-shift transmission with six different options on sale.

CR-V, Honda’s highly equipped SUV, completes the Honda range. The recent introduction of a commercial version of CR-V, powered by Honda’s award winning 2.2i turbo diesel engine, and equipped with Honda’s real four-wheel drive system, has extended the range for 2010.

All new Honda vehicles are sold through Judges Car Sales, Sligo Road, Ballina, where you can enjoy the benefits of a three-year mechanical warranty and roadside assistance programmes.
