Enjoy a set dancing festival weekend with a touch of sean nós and country and western on March 5 to March 7 in the Downhill House Hotel, Ballina — all in aid of Mayo Cancer Support.
On Friday March 5 take part in a country and western workshop with Oliver Fleming from 8pm to 10pm. A céilí with the Copperplate Céilí Band will take place at 10pm.
On Saturday March 6 a workshop with Ger Butler will take place from 11am to 1pm and also from 2pm to 3pm. Mass will be celebrated at 3.30pm and then enjoy country and western music with Michael and Breege Cleary from 5pm to 7.30pm. The Annaly Céilí Band will then entertain the crowds at 10pm.
A workshop with Marie Garrity will take place on Sunday from 11am to 1pm followed by a céilí with the Swallows Tail Céilí Band from 2pm to 5pm. Dance the evening away to a bit of country and western with The Duets from 7pm to 9.30pm and the main act of the big country night, John McNicholl, will headline at 10pm.
