International wine producers evening at Knockranny House Hotel

Knockranny House Hotel will host a very special event for food and wine lovers with an evening of tutored tastings by a selection of international wine producers on Saturday January 30. The event will include walk-around tastings, masterclasses, blind tastings, and a winemakers’ dinner with a specially designed menu from Connaught’s best chef Seamus Commons as awarded by Food & Wine magazine.

The wine tasting will be hosted by Liam Cabot of Cabot Wines and will feature a tutored tasting from the wine producers from New Zealand, Slovenia, and Burgundy.

The winemakers’ dinner will consist of a specially designed eight course tasting menu from chef Seamus Commons. The tasting menu will have individual dishes matching the wines of each producer, with those wines sold by the glass for the meal. Seamus’ tasting menu promises to be a real delight. In the recently published new Bridgestone Irish Food Guide, author John McKenna refers to Seamus as “one of the great chefs of his generation,” stating that “Mr Commons puts more detail into a single dish than most chefs put into an entire dinner menu”.

This very special wine producers’ event can be enjoyed for only €69 per person. Book now on 098 28600 for what promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable food and wine lovers experience.
