Local writer/director Orlagh Heverin is shooting a low-budget short film in Castlebar and Louisburgh from October 10 to 14 and is looking for a number of fame-seeking candidates for the cast!
Characters who are needed: a curly haired woman (30-35 ) with medium build, soft eyes, casual appearance; young girl (eight to ten ), shoulder-length dark hair, small, slight; older man to play a 1940s character gentleman, well groomed, handsome; two older sisters of young girl (11-14 ), taller than young girl, freckled, smiling, happy faces; well-dressed lady 1940s character (45-55 ), impeccable, graceful. A hairdresser is also required for the shoot who an do 1920/1940s styles.
The film will be shown on RTÉ and at multiple festivals nationally and internationally. The film will be shot by director of photography Tim Fleming, who among other films shot the award winning Once. Orlagh is also looking to local businesses for their support to help her make this film.
