Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny TD has welcomed all the donations received at the flood relief centre established by the local Fine Gael organisation in Castlebar last week.
The flood relief centre was filled to capacity and a total of 15 cargo vans travelled to Athlone last Sunday morning to deliver the donations. The goods included heaters, dehumidifiers, electrical goods, blankets, food, and furniture.
Deputy Kenny said: “I wish to thank the four Castlebar Fine Gael town councillors and all the volunteers that assisted in establishing and operating the centre. It is most important to give a special thank you to all those that donated toward this good cause to assist those affected by the ongoing flooding around the country.”
