James Kilbane and guests will take his country gospel, Irish, and Christmas concert to the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport on Sunday night January 3 at 8pm. This concert is being staged in association with Mayo Cancer Support at Rockrose House, Castlebar. As part of his winter run of concerts James Kilbane is back with his show at the Castlecourt Hotel, following several sell out shows across the country as well as television appearances on RTE and EWTN television networks at home and abroad.
James is soon to release his eighth album in the early spring and at the Castlecourt the audience can look forward to a preview of some of the new material as well as many of his popular favourites from earlier albums. James’ special guest on the night will be Ballinrobe native Jenny Mulvey, who is becoming one of the west’s finest folk and sean nós singers following the release of her well received debut album Suirí. Many Irish music lovers across the region are familiar with Jenny’s own memorable style from her concerts and sessions as well as her own involvement with James in the hugely successful Legends of Grainne Mhaol drama at the Castlecourt Hotel last summer. Other guests will be the very talented duo Hannah Thomas and Garth McNamara, who will sing an enjoyable mix of folk and popular classics. At the Castlecourt Hotel the audience can look forward to almost three hours of good easy listening music and top entertainment from ballad to anthem.
This wonderful event is being organised in association with Mayo Cancer Support Association who were formed in 1999 and are based at Rockrose House, Castlebar where they continue to carry out professional work with persons diagnosed with cancer, and their families.
