A Ballinrobe solicitor and his firm are listed on the Revenue tax defaulters list which was published on Tuesday.
Michael McDarby and Co, Glebe Street, Ballinrobe settled for a sum of €22,227.75 for the underdeclaration of VAT. Michael McDarby, with the same address, was separately named for the underdeclaration of income tax, which was settled with the Revenue for €35,830.
A Swinford man and newsagent are also listed. Martin Gleeson, Dublin Road Swinford, a plant and machinery sales agent, undeclared capital gains tax and settled for €35,500. Paul Casey, Sweetwell, Swinford, a newsagent, undeclared income tax and settled for €75,000.
The list was compiled pursuant to Section 1086 of the Taxes Consolidation Act, 1997, in respect of the period beginning on July 1, 2009 and ending on September 30, 2009, of every person in whose case the Revenue Commissioners accepted a settlement.
