Westport Chamber of Commerce has launched its new Shop ‘n Spraoi na Nollag website www.westportmarket.ie in an all out effort to attract visitors to the town for the authentic Irish Christmas market from December 11 to 13.
Craft and artisan food producers from all over Mayo are partaking in this spectacular Christmas market on the Westport Mall, showcasing and highlighting all that is good about locally produced food and crafts in Mayo.
“If you are looking for the wow factor and something different, unique, authentic, and homemade this Christmas then this market is for you. Our new website www.westportmarket.ie will have all the information on the events taking place, those participating, news updates, and lots of other information nuggets for locals and visitors,” said president of Westport Chamber of Commerce Danny McLaughlin at the website launch this week.
The authentic and Irish market is set to attract thousands of people to Westport over the three days with a carnival atmosphere, street performances, exhibitions, demonstrations, family events, Santa’s grotto, live nativity crib, carol singing, light shows, and lots of free giveaways on offer.
Westport Shop ‘n Spraoi na Nollag is supported by Westport Chamber, Westport Town Council, South West Mayo Development Company under the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013, Western Development Commission, the Mayo News, Fáilte Ireland, and Gnó Mhaigh Eo.
