The new Land Rover distributor for Ireland tells us that new engines, more luxurious interiors, higher specifications and improved styling will be part of their new 2010 model range from January. Additionally, they tell us that many of the more popular models will also provide additional value for money through significant price reductions.
The new Discovery 4 with the new 3.0 twin-turbo diesel engine, automatic transmission, new interior and fresh exterior design, starts at €59,600 for the XE 7-seater, which is €3,970 less than the previous 2.7 diesel model. The new LR-TDV6 3.0 twin-turbo diesel engine has class-leading 600 Nm of torque, 245 bhp and fuel consumption improved by 9.7 per cent. The Discovery 2.7 TDV6 S manual 5-seater is €51,980.
The popular Discovery 4 Commercials will start at €36,330 for the 2.7 TDV6 manual and €41,420 for the 3.0 TDV6 automatic.
The superb Range Rover Sport gets the new 3.0 TDV6 diesel and a serious V8 5.0 Supercharged petrol engine together with stylish exterior changes and a redesigned and more refined interior. The 3.0 TDV6 SE, now fitted with satellite navigation, starts at €77,530, with the top-selling HSE model at €82,440, which is €2,983 less than the previous 2.7 HSE. The V8 5.0 Supercharged starts at €106,360, a saving of €2,398 over the 4.2 model.
The 3.0 TDV6 SE Commercial is €53,710 and the HSE Commercial is €56,990.
The flagship Range Rover Vogue gains the 5.0 V8 Supercharged engine, and starting at €124,010, is a saving of €24,230 over the previous 4.2 engine. The Range Rover line-up starts at €100,180 for the 3.6 TDV8 version. A special edition Autobiography model with opulent leather and exquisite interior features costs €140,260.
We are told that that the Freelander 2 comes with an innovative intelligent Stop/Start system on diesel manual models that improves fuel economy by up to 10.7% and reduces CO2 emissions by up to 7.7%, which means annual road tax of just €630. It is the first SUV to be fitted with this system. Prices for the 2.2 TD4 diesel start at €33,660. The top-selling 2.2 TD4 S model is €35,770, a saving of €1,670 over the previous model. The 2.2 HSE with leather interior costs €43,770, a saving of €4,190.
The Freelander 2 Commercial range starts at €25,790, with manual and automatic transmissions available.
The iconic Defender model is still available with a 2.4 litre common rail diesel engine and choice of body styles starting at €24,440 for the 90 Pick Up and €27,510 for the Hard Top.
