Green Stores heading for a TV near you

Feargal Quinn's Retail Therapy is a new series for RTÉ One which sees retail guru Feargal Quinn offer his unique brand of advice to independent retailers throughout Ireland. Times have never been tougher and Feargal Quinn knows better than anyone how to survive a recession and remain successful in a highly competitive environment. Over six episodes the king of customer service will work with different shops in an attempt to transform their fortunes.

The Green Stores in Claremorris, Co Mayo, is one such store and Feargal has been working with owner Florence Higgins over the last few months. This work will culminate in the relaunch of Green's, as the shop is now called, tomorrow, Saturday November 14 at 1pm. The Green Stores has been a landmark shopping destination in Claremorris for years and this new launch of the business as Green’s will continue to bring the best shopping experience to Claremorris and Mayo. Tomorrow’s launch promises to be one of the most spectacular events to happen in Mayo this year. There will be plenty of special offers, a champagne reception, and a host of new fashions to explore as Green's emerges as one of Claremorris's premier shopping destinations.

The Green Stores was established by Florence Higgins’s father Thomas Higgins in 1973. Florence has been running the store since the 1980s. Ireland has seen huge changes since then and Irish independently owned stores have had to struggle to compete and remain relevant in a saturated retail environment. Green Stores or Green’s as it will now be known, is renowned for its customer service and top quality products, combined with value for money that cannot be matched by multiples or chains. This launch will see a new departure for Green’s and its dedicated staff as they embark on a new chapter with a refitted store and a host of new fashion ranges. Combining modernity with tradition, Green’s is set to become a landmark store in the Mayo area and thrive for many more years to come. Feargal Quinn's Retail Therapy will be broadcast on RTÉ One in early 2010.
