Johan Collins Mechanical Services has been awarded the prestigious Merit Award by The National Irish Safety Organisation. This award marks the efforts put in by the company over the last year with regards to its on site health and safety awareness.
This year the annual health and safety conference, organised by the NISO, took place in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar.
As with previous conferences, a highlight of the event was the annual Health and Safety Awards presentation dinner. These awards recognise the efforts made by private sector companies and public bodies in the field of health and safety in the workplace.
Johan Collins Mechanical is pleased to add the NISO award to its Silver RoSPA safety award achieved back in February of this year. Johan Collins, managing director of the company, said: “It has been a challenging year with the downturn in the economy, so I am pleased that the efforts of the staff are being recognised in these trying times. We have just launched two UK offices, in London and the midlands, and hope that we can achieve, if not excel, the same standards in health and safety across the waters.”
