As the date of Arthritis Ireland’s national raffle, Friday November 27, draws near, Arthritis Ireland is calling on people in Mayo to support the national raffle to make a real difference to people living with arthritis in their county and be in with a chance to win one of the fantastic prizes on offer by calling 01 6618188, e-mailing [email protected], or visiting www.arthritisireland.ie Thanks to funds raised by last year’s raffle, Arthritis Ireland’s Mayo branch has worked to develop a wide range of new support services. As a result, the 20,000 people living with arthritis in Mayo can benefit from talking to and meeting with others living with arthritis near them by attending one of the many information events and support groups organised by their local branch.
In addition, earlier this year Arthritis Ireland launched a new national helpline for people living with arthritis, manned by people who are living positively with the condition. The helpline is the first of its kind in Ireland, providing vital emotional and practical support and information to people affected by arthritis. Arthritis Ireland is encouraging people living with arthritis in Mayo, their families, and carers, to contact the helpline between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday on Lo-Call 1890 252846.
