Did you know that there are new owners with new ideas and a fresh look at the Rendezvous Bar and Bistro in Balla? For the past six months both Seamus and his wife Angelika Judge have taken the reins at the Rendezvous Bar and Bistro and steered it in a winning direction.

Seamus Judge is well known in hotel industry having worked in Ashford Castle for 26 years as head of food and beverages. Delighted how business is going and overwhelmed with the support of all their customers, Seamus, Angelica, and all the staff would like to thank all their customers for their continued support. As anyone will tell you who goes for a pint or a meal in the Rendezvous Bar and Bistro their success is simple yet effective business sense, great fresh food served with great service, and a low price to boot. Seamus has a keen eye for talent and has hired two very well known professional chefs, Raymond Barrett and Gerry O'Connor.

Raymond Barrett is well known in Mayo having worked in such establishments as Healy’s Hotel in Pontoon and The West Bar in Westport, and has a total of 15 years experience as a chef. Gerry O'Connor trained at Ashford Castle and also previously worked in Bosh in Castlebar and has more than 18 years of experience. Between them they are a formidable force in the kitchen and cook up a storm each and every day serving great food from 10am to 7pm Monday to Thursday, from 10am to 8pm Friday to Saturday, and from 12 noon to 5pm on Sundays.

The Rendezvous Bar and Bistro combines fresh authentic food with a warm atmosphere and great friendly craic in the bar in the evening. All the food served is made from scratch each day and there are also takeaway dinners available.
