A 21-year-old business student in Sligo IT was before Castlebar District Court this week after he was found to be in possession of €211 worth of cocaine.
On Saturday January 17 this year gardaí searched a car in the Thomas Street car park where Conor McHale, Hawthorne Avenue, Lightford, Castlebar, one of four men in the car, was seen to throw a white bag on the ground beside his feet.
Aidan Crowley, defending solicitor, said that McHale admitted having the drugs for his own use.
Judge Mary Devins adjourned the matter to February 3 2010 for a probation report.
