Mayo man pleads guilty to blagging free hotels and chauffeur driven car

A Mayo man has pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to pretending to work for a recruitment company to get free hotels and a chauffeur driven car.

Daniel Duffy (27 ) of Manulla, Castlebar, pleaded guilty on the first day of his trial to falsely representing Rigney Dolphin Ltd to induce someone to book hotel rooms in the Burlington and Jurys Tower Hotels in October 2006. He also admitted to pretending to be from the company to obtain a chauffeur driven car in November 2006.

Judge Patricia Ryan adjourned sentencing until next month when the full facts will be heard.
