Castlebar-based JB Barry & Partners Limited has been shortlisted for the prestigious Engineers Ireland Continuing Professional Development Company of the Year Award 2009.
The award recognises those companies or bodies that have demonstrated clear-cut business benefits arising directly from their CPD practices in developing engineering employees. JB Barry & Partners Limited, located in N5 Business Park, Moneen Road, Castlebar, has an entry titled ‘Developing our Oral Hearing Skills through Training’.
All finalists have achieved Engineers Ireland CPD Accreditation which recognises and stimulates good organisational practice in the area of professional development for engineers and technical staff.
The Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer scheme is supported by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and plays an important role in the Government’s objective to build a smart economy. More than 320 organisations and public sector bodies are formally involved in the Engineers Ireland CPD Accreditation Scheme. The award, now in its sixth year, is designed to identify and share best CPD practices and to celebrate the achievements of accredited organisations.
