Fresh from the success of two hit RTE series in 2008, Wonder Women and Working Girls, Katherine Lynch brings her crazy crew of highly unusual, but nigglingly identifiable, modern Irish women on tour to Castlebar for one night only on Friday December 4.
Live and very loud on the night will be Leitrim's very own gormless gaffer Liz Hurley, with anecdotes of everything from sheep dipping to sheep tipping, singing with Mohill’s premier AC/DC tribute band 50/50, and coaching her beloved football team, The Mohill Lassies. Liz might not have had the height for the guards, but she definitely had the balls!
Also joining the line-up will be travelling Country 'n Irish lino legend singing Bernie Walsh, with songs about love, life, and carpet remnants. Following the success of Bernie's first album, Friends In Hiaces, and her triumphant performance on The Late Late Show, Bernie has spent the last 12 months on an ego driven orgy of rampant self promotion, travelling the length and breadth of the country, appearing at every culchie happening, hickey fair, seafood festival, shindig, knees-up, or hoedown you’ve never heard of. Maybe Bernie's grand plan to “get famouser” wasn't as clear cut as she thought it was going to be! Bernie Walsh has a bone to pick and God only knows what she'll say!
This show is also available to book as a Christmas party night with a four course meal in the Lady Lavery Restaurant before the show, premier seating in the Royal Theatre and eighties disco after party in the Café Bar till late.
