Minister Éamon Ó Cuív, Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, will officially open the woodland trails around and between Cong and Clonbur woods on Sunday October 4 in Cong at 2pm and Clonbur at 3pm.
A group cycle will commence in Cong at 2pm sharp. Following the openings walkers can set off on the self-guided 8km trail through the woodlands to the respective village (maps will be provided and the trails are marked ). Refreshments and a shuttle bus are being provided on the day. A shorter guided nature trail will also be available in each village. Participants should wear suitable clothing and footwear. Everyone is welcome to this unique trail in the beautiful Cong/Clonbur woodlands. More details on www.nationaltrailsday.ie
