Restaurateurs and hoteliers from Mayo are to attend the Restaurant Association of Ireland’s industry meeting in Galway on Wednesday October 7. The event is being held at the Radisson Blu, Lough Atalia, Galway, and is in association with Bord Bia, National Employment Rights Agency and Fáilte Ireland. The meeting will focus on major issues relating to the sector.
Informal networking meetings between restaurateurs and local artisan producers will also take place, with a view to having more home-grown produce on Irish menus.
Chairman of the Western RAI branch, Fergus O’Halloran said: “It is important for restaurateurs and hoteliers to attend this event. There are major issues facing the industry over the next number of months and we as a sector need to challenge these. We are pleased to have representatives from Bord Bia, National Employment Rights Agency, and Fáilte Ireland attending our event so restaurateurs can gain as much information as possible from attending.”
