The young man who was fatally injured in a road traffic collision in Foxford last Friday has been named as 19-year-old Michael Bell from Foxford.
The single vehicle collision happened at 12.45am on Station Road, Foxford, one kilometre from Foxford on the Foxford to Pontoon road.
There were four other people in the car at the time but their injuries are not believed to be serious. They were all taken to Mayo General Hospital.
The road was closed for a forensic collision investigation and witnesses are asked to contact the Gardaí at Swinford on 094 925 2990 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.
