A 50-year-old man who when intoxicated went to the home of a female neighbour, on four separate occasions and banged on her doors trying to gain entry, was before Ballinrobe District Court last week.
On January 5 at 8.30pm, Joseph Campbell, Shammer, Kilkelly, went to the home of Teresa McAndrew, a retired nurse, and banged on her premises and was abusive towards her.
Defending solicitor Brendan Donnelly said that the man, who is single and up until recently resided at home with his 80-year-old mother, had drink and psychiatric difficulties.
Campbell, who has previous convictions, gave a sworn undertaking that he would not bother Ms McAndrew and sentencing was adjourned until June 27 2010.
