The new Mayo Childline Unit will be launched next Tuesday, October 6, by Minister for Labour Affairs Dara Calleary.
The launch will take place at 10.30am at the ISPCC office, Unit 14C, N5 Business Park, Castlebar.
The new Childline service in Castlebar will provide a telephone, web, and text based service to children all over Ireland and will help the ISPCC to achieve its goal of answering 100 per cent of calls to Childline by 2011.
To coincide with the launch of the service, Childline is hosting a fundraising breakfast morning and would like to invite all local companies and members of the public to go along.
The ISPCC would like to thank the people of Mayo for all their support over the years and for their commitment and enthusiasm in the opening of this new ISPCC Childline service in the county.
