Westport Film Club will show Everlasting Moments on Wednesday October 7 at 8.45pm in the Westport Cineplex as part of Westport Art Festival.
Based on a true story, Everlasting Moments follows the story of Maria who is married to an alcoholic and womanising dock worker. Her husband leaves the worries of family responsibilities entirely to Maria and her situation is desperate until she meets a camera shop owner who encourages her to start taking and developing photographs. She soon begins to see the world in new ways that threaten her already perilous situation.
Despite the bleak world the characters inhabit, the film is ultimately a moving affirmation of life’s beauty and the strength of the human spirit.
